Fortress Institute, LLC, headquartered in Michigan, is the resource and educational division of our ministry.  Since our founding in 2008 we have been developing biblically-based, scientifically-tested solutions for ministers in the big storms of their lives. Those terms, biblically-based and scientically-tested are the distinctive characteristics of what we offer. "Biblically-based" means all our resources are grounded in an orthodox and evangelical understanding of the whole Bible. See our doctrinal statement for details.  This is particularly important in a discipline like clergy care where so many competing sources of information exist. Meanwhile, though we are wholly committed to a traditional understanding of Christian doctrine and care, we are also thoroughly conversant with the latest scientific research and practices of care.

Fortress Christian Counseling, PLC is the counseling division of our ministry, devoted to the mission of using the biblically-based, scientifically-tested solutions in the lives of individual ministers we are called to serve. Because of the unique requirements and challenges of clergy care itself, we have developed specialized counseling and mentoring services enabling us to deliver them to pastors, missionaries and others in vocational ministry regardless of geography.
