Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1831-1892) was one of the most successful pastors in history. Long before modern technology he preached to tens of thousands and published millions of words, most of which remain in print today. Perhaps the most important part of his story, however, is not his successes but what God did to make him the historic figure he was. He is such an important example for ministers of all times and denominations that we have established the Center for Spurgeon Studies to research and publish works about his life and struggles.
